Toughened Glass is a type of protective glass created under controlled thermal treatment to increase its strength upto 4 to 5 times in comparison to any other float glass. Toughened is also referred as tempered glass .The technique used to create toughened glass involves heating the glass beyond annealing point 600c to create multiple layers that gives the required toughness to resist impacts
The main feature of toughened glass is resistance to higher temperature. During accidental rupture caused to the glass , it will crumble into small grandullar chunks causing minimal injuries . Toughened glass is also available in assorted colour tints and hues. Toughened glass is used for commercial and residential purpose.
